We are open three days a week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Planned Activities
We offer regular planned activities, such as exercise classes, sewing/crochet, community meals, Repair Café, bingo/games and craft sessions, etc.
Depending on the interests of members, we also offer educational events on topics such as healthy eating on a budget, brain health, income tax tips, and community safety, etc.
Drop-in Time
There is also unscheduled drop-in time for individuals to sit and chat, make new connections, learn from each other, find out about events and services in the local community.
Special Projects
Our members engage in special projects. Examples include: the new intergenerational garden project, Young and Old Growing Together, and the Oral History project.
The oral history project included the production of a video, A Place Where We Belong. Twelve minutes long, it features various seniors telling their stories and describing the neighborhood as they remember it. To view it, click here
Computer Literacy-Training Opportunities
We regularly offer different types of training and support for members who want to improve their digital literacy, whether using a lap top, tablet or cell phone. Currently our monthly calendar (see below) includes scheduled on-site tutoring and workshop times.
Members signup for 1:1 sessions with a skilled volunteer so that the learning is tailored to their needs and level of competence. The current system for signing up involves visiting the Hub and using a written sign up sheet that is posted on the Tech Info Board.
Monthly workshops are group sessions on topics that reflect common challenges.
Plan to Visit
If you have an idea, a curiosity, or a particular interest, come for a visit and we’ll have a conversation.
